Updated: Jun 27, 2023

Denver, Colorado February 23, 2023 – CisLunar Industries has appointed George Pullen, General Partner of Milky Way Economy (MWE), as an advisor and Chief Space Economist. George Pullen will be an incredible asset on CisLunar Industries’ advisory board as he will add a critical economic perspective to the work CisLunar Industries is doing to build a circular space economy.

George Pullen is an alumnus of University of Maine and Johns Hopkins and serves as a lecturer and adjunct professor at Columbia University in New York, Johns Hopkins, Eisenhower War College, and University of New Hampshire Law School. Pullen has also served as Senior Economist for Division of Market Oversight, U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, in addition to being a subject matter expert and risk advisor for the Global Association of Risk Professionals. He is co-author of Blockchain and the Space Economy. Pullen has also served as a space economy subject matter expert and facilitator for US Space Force: Space Futures Workshops. MWE is a New Space think tank providing consulting, education, and awareness services for the fifth industrial revolution, the Space Economy.

CisLunar Industries has brought in MWE, led by Pullen, to advance the shared vision of a complex, diverse, and robust space economy, with commercial contributions from a broad coalition of companies.

“CisLunar Industries has been advocating for a truly diverse and robust space economy since we first started the company, and partnering with George and MWE helps us to make this vision a reality,” says Gary Calnan, CEO of CisLunar Industries. “To build a real collaborative space economy for the fifth industrial revolution, we need leaders like George to navigate us through the necessary conversations and agreements to successfully build that space economy.” Pullen sees and will prioritize opportunities to collaborate with commercial partners on specific activities within the scope of CisLunar Industries technologies. He also has the experience to quantify the value proposition of those pursuits and partnerships.

“MWE bridges the gap between research and commercialization for the businesses, technologists, and financiers of the Space Economy,” says Pullen. “We have been following CisLunar Industries’ progress in the space industry and are impressed by their work to make the commercialization of space possible. Man-made and natural metal resources are available in space but need to be processed or transformed in order to be useful. CisLunar Industries forges that critical missing link in the in-space value chain, opening the door to the efficient utilization of all kinds of resources. We look forward to assisting CisLunar Industries in earning its place in the $4T space economy of the 2040s.”
